DezemberHub (our own system)
DezemberHub combines ERP, TSE-compliant POS and AI assistant in one interface. For leather goods, bags and luggage this means: if required, every single piece of an item receives its own identification number with a barcode label at goods receipt, and a digital record card logs goods receipt, transfers, sale, return and repairs. Brands (labels) are kept separate from the supplier in the item master, product lines run as item families with reports per product line and store, and material is a separate attribute. The POS works offline, stores share a common stock, and the customer bonus is held as credit on the customer account.
Prices are public: from a €50 base fee per month plus €50 per concurrently running register, spare registers are free. There is no setup fee, and you can cancel monthly. You test free of charge for 30 days without payment details, and the trial ends automatically.

What does an ERP for bags and luggage need to do?
An ERP for bags and luggage needs to manage quantity items and valuable individual pieces in the same stock and map variants across at least three attributes: colour, material and size. A leather goods shop sells a trolley for several hundred euros alongside handbags in changing colours and wallets or belts as a permanent range. Five requirements come up again and again in this range:
- Variants across several attributes: colour, material such as cowhide or nylon, and a size that means something different depending on the goods, for example S, M and L for suitcases, litres for backpacks, inches for laptop bags or the length for belts.
- Individual pieces alongside quantity items: high-quality bags and suitcases are often tracked individually with their own number, while small leather goods continue to be managed by quantity.
- Product lines and brands: suitcase lines with cabin trolley, medium and large suitcase belong together, and many suppliers carry several brands that should be reported separately.
- Service per piece: repairs to wheels, handles or zips should be assigned to the piece sold and its buyer.
- POS and customer loyalty: a TSE-compliant POS with customer account, vouchers and a bonus that can be redeemed on the next purchase.
How are individual pieces with their own number managed in the ERP?
Individual item tracking means that every physical piece receives its own identification number, assigned only once, usually as a barcode on the price label. This allows the ERP to distinguish two identical suitcases of the same colour and size and to tell for each piece when it arrived, which store it is in and to whom it was sold.
The vendors describe this differently: according to the vendor, Landau Software manages individual items with an identification number, VARIO lists serial numbers and batches, and enventa RFID-based stock management. In DezemberHub you switch on individual item tracking per item. Each piece then receives its identification number at goods receipt, optionally also the manufacturer's serial number, and at the POS the system asks for the piece number instead of the EAN for such items. RFID tags are written during label printing, and existing tags can continue to be used.
Do I need an industry solution or is a general POS system enough?
For a shop with one register and mainly quantity items, a POS system with integrated ERP can be enough. As soon as individual pieces, several stores, product line reports or purchasing with supplier master data come into play, the requirements on the ERP behind it increase.
General cloud ERP systems such as Xentral, Pickware, PlentyONE or weclapp come from online retail and cover warehouse, shipping and marketplaces. Whether they map individual pieces, product lines and brands the way a leather goods shop works is best clarified with a trial using your own items. Anyone who manufactures leather goods or sells them wholesale should look at systems with a B2B focus; according to the vendor, enventa Fashion ERP names exactly this target group.
What does an ERP with POS cost for a leather goods shop?
As of October 2026, two of the vendors compared publish entry prices: ETRON, according to the vendor from €19.80 per month for the POS software including support, and DezemberHub from a €50 base fee per month plus €50 per concurrently running register, spare registers free, with no setup fee. Landau Software lists rental prices on its website and, according to the vendor, also offers purchase and leasing. VARIO and enventa state prices on request.
For the total cost, besides the monthly price, what counts is the number of registers and stores, add-on modules for online sales or branch connection, the contract term as well as setup, training and the data migration from the previous system. Ask for every offer which of these items are included. The full DezemberHub pricing model is on the pricing page.
How do supplier item data and images get into the system?
In leather goods retail, many suppliers deliver their item master data electronically: via EDI with messages such as PRICAT for item and price data, ORDERS for orders and DESADV for delivery notifications, often bundled through a clearing centre. In addition, B2B data platforms such as Fashion Cloud, by their own account, provide product data and images including EANs and prices for import. The more of this arrives automatically, the less you type in with every new collection.
In DezemberHub, master data and EANs come into the system via the ECC, and the BTE formats PRICAT and ORDRSP are processed. Order sheets that only exist as PDF or photo are read in by the AI import.
What should multi-store retailers and retailers with an online shop look out for?
Multi-store retailers and retailers with an online shop should above all look for a shared stock across all points of sale: every store should see where the piece in question is, and transfers need their own document so that storage time and history are correct. For online sales, what counts is that the shop, online shop and marketplaces sell from the same stock and an individual piece is not sold twice.
In DezemberHub all stores work with a shared stock, and transfers are a separate process. Online sales via Amazon, eBay, Otto and other channels are an optional, usage-based add-on, and stock levels are synchronised automatically.
What should leather goods retailers look out for when choosing a system?
These eight questions help with the comparison. Ask every vendor and have them show you the answer with your own items, not with demo data.
- Individual identification numbers
- Does every piece get its own number, and can this be switched on and off per item? Is the number booked piece by piece at the POS, during transfers, returns and stocktaking?
- Product lines
- Can suitcase lines and bag lines be managed as a related item family and reported by product line and store?
- Brands and labels
- Is the brand kept separate from the supplier in the item master? This matters as soon as a supplier carries several labels and the receipt should show the brand instead of the supplier.
- Repairs per piece
- Can the POS accept a repair order and assign it to the piece sold, with buyer and purchase date?
- RFID
- Can RFID tags be written during label printing or existing tags be taken over, and does stocktaking then count many pieces in one pass?
- Customer bonus
- Is the bonus held on the customer account and redeemed at the POS without a slip or code? Are existing bonuses retained when switching?
- Data migration from the previous system
- Which data comes along, i.e. items, individual pieces with their numbers, customers, stock levels and documents? Who does the work, and what does it cost?
- Trial with your own data
- Can you test with your real range and your usual reports, in parallel to the running shop and without automatic renewal?
How DezemberHub implements these eight points is shown on the page ERP for leather goods, bags and luggage. The data migration from your previous system is free, after which you test for 30 days with your real data.
How big is leather goods retail in Germany?
According to an industry brief by NWB, there were 1,039 specialised leather goods retailers in Germany in 2020, around 1,500 shops including branches; the basis is the VAT statistics and figures from BTE Handelsverband Textil Schuhe Lederwaren. For the manufacturing side, the German Federal Association of the Shoe and Leather Goods Industry (HDS/L), according to TextilWirtschaft, reports revenue of just under 366 million euros for the German leather goods and luggage industry in 2025, 6.6 per cent less than in the previous year; around 245.4 million euros came from Germany, 120.5 million euros from abroad (plus 1.4 per cent). These figures describe the industry, not retail revenue.
A fixed date in the industry calendar is the International Leather Goods Fair ILM in Offenbach: around 300 German and international brands were expected for the February 2026 edition, and the next ILM takes place from 13 to 15 February 2027.
