You can usually keep using common receipt printers, scanners and cash drawers, and we discuss your existing hardware with you personally. DezemberHub also runs in the browser, even on hardware around 10 years old, all Epson receipt printers are supported and we connect additional manufacturers individually. During the free trial you check this directly with your own devices.

Yes. The EU Data Act, Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, has applied since September 12, 2025 to ERP and POS systems from the cloud as well, including existing contracts. Providers must remove obstacles to switching and hand over your exportable data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Switching charges are limited to the actual costs and will be abolished completely from January 12, 2027. You can find all deadlines and sources in our guide to the EU Data Act.

Without a valid price adjustment clause, the provider cannot enforce the increase during the current contract term. In practice, this is usually followed by a termination with an offer of new terms at the next regular date, and at the latest then the decision is due: accept the new offer or switch. Many contracts also provide a special right of termination in the event of increases. What matters is reacting in time and checking your own termination options.
