Frequently asked questions about marketplace fees

Which marketplace has the lowest fees for shoes?

That depends on the price point and your volume; there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Example: a women's shoe at €79.95 without shipping: Amazon 15% = €11.99, eBay 12% plus €0.45 = €10.04, OTTO Market tiered rate = €12.99, Kaufland 14% = €11.19. On top of that come different base fees from €0 to €99.90 per month, which weigh differently depending on your sales volume. As of June 2026, all figures without guarantee.

What is the commission calculated on at each marketplace?

It varies: Kaufland calculates the commission on sales price plus shipping costs, eBay on the total transaction amount including shipping, OTTO Market as a tiered rate on portions of the sales price, and Amazon on the item price depending on the category. That is exactly why it pays to check each marketplace's calculator.

Why is there no Zalando fee calculator?

Zalando does not publish a price list. Commissions and fees are agreed individually with each partner, depending on the partnership model: Wholesale, Partner Program, or Connected Retail. Without public terms, a calculator would be speculation.

Are the fee calculators free?

Yes. All calculators are free to use and require no signup. The fees behind them come from the marketplaces' official terms overviews and are listed with source and date.
