What does a HILTES retailer need to sell on OTTO Market?
To start on OTTO Market you need a seller account and complete product data. You should clarify these points in advance:
- An activated OTTO Market partner account. According to OTTO, the admission requirements depend on factors such as company location, legal form and tax registration; check the current OTTO Market checklist before technical planning (source: otto.market, checklist).
- Product data with an EAN per size and color, because OTTO lists each variant individually.
- Product images and descriptions that meet the OTTO requirements.
- The assignment to OTTO categories and the respective mandatory attributes.
- Stock per variant and the selling prices you want to offer on OTTO.
- A process for order import, shipping and returns.

Which data does the Connector take from your inventory management export?
The Connector can take over articles, sizes, colors, stock and prices from a file export of your inventory management, for example CSV via SFTP, provided your export contains EAN, size, color, stock and price per variant. After coordination with your inventory management, it can provide orders as an import file. Whether and how this fits your installation is something we check before the start based on the export format and mandatory fields. Setup takes place with personal support.
Products and size matrix
If the export contains complete article master data with EAN, size and color, it can be mapped to OTTO categories, mandatory attributes and size values. We check the mapping for each installation.
Stock per variant
You decide which branches are enabled for online sales. If the export contains stock per branch and variant, the Connector can combine it into one OTTO stock level, with a safety buffer if you wish.
Pricing
Selling prices can be taken over from the export, provided it contains them per variant. For OTTO you can set channel-specific markups, for example to factor in the commission.
Orders, shipping and returns
The Connector can retrieve OTTO orders and send shipping and tracking data back to OTTO Market. Returns follow the OTTO requirements.
How is the size and color matrix mapped for OTTO?
Your inventory management stores sizes in its own size matrix, while OTTO has its own size values. If sizes and colors are complete in the export, during setup we can assign each size of your assortment to the matching OTTO value, for example separately for women's, men's and children's shoes. Color names from the inventory management can be mapped to OTTO color values; we check the mapping for each installation.
Each size-color combination can go online as a variant with its own EAN. If a single variant is sold out, only that variant can be paused on OTTO, while the other sizes and colors remain available. How often stock is synchronized is something we agree on with you during setup.
How do OTTO orders get back to the store?
There are two routes for incoming OTTO orders. The Connector can provide orders as an import file that you take over through the import options of your inventory management system, provided your installation offers a suitable import. Alternatively, you process the OTTO orders directly in DezemberHub, including shipping labels. Whether and how this works for your installation is something we clarify together before the start.
