The eBay fee changes of 2026
eBay adjusted its seller fees in 2026 in two steps. On 12 February 2026 the fixed portion of the final value fee for orders over €10 rose from €0.35 to €0.45. On 1 July 2026 the tiered final value fee was dropped in many categories: uniform category rates of 7 to 14% for new goods have applied there since, and for used and refurbished items the commission in these categories falls to 5%.
The category Clothing & Accessories including shoes is not affected by the change on 1 July 2026: it remains at 12% up to €990, 3% on the portion above and the reduced sneaker rate of 7% from a €100 sale price. This calculator therefore continues to use these rates unchanged.

Example calculation: boots for €120 with €4.95 shipping
You sell a pair of boots for €120 plus €4.95 shipping, so the total amount is €124.95. The final value fee is 12% of that, which is €14.99 (this is the commission rate the calculator shows). On top of that comes the fixed portion of €0.45, because the order is over €10. Total fees: €15.44. Your payout amount: €109.51. Including the fixed portion, that corresponds to roughly a 12.4% total fee.
For comparison, sneakers: a pair of sneakers for €150 with free shipping costs only a 7% commission thanks to the reduced rate, which is €10.50 plus a fixed €0.45. You receive a payout of €139.05, roughly a 7.3% total fee including the fixed portion.
